Assignment #3

In this picture, the objects are fairly close. This image is not abstract, its quite figurative. The girls in this picture are laid back. There is not that much going on but just the right amount to make you want to look at it. This picture is pretty focused on purpose. There is a bare spot in the left hand corner but the tree sort of helps that out. i was trying to communicate the idea of friends on a laid back day. The girls in this image did a good job of making it look careless and real. It was taken outdoors on a nice day. The tone is the medium between dark and light. i felt that this picture was pretty successful, although, being that the assignment was motion, i could have incorporated more action or motion into the picture. Overall, i like it but it could have honestly been a bit better.

Assignment #2

This image is figurative. The model is very close to the camera. The fire hydrant next to the model is nice, it does not really throw anything off. The angle of the picture is nice and it is very in focus. I purposely put the image in focus because the model is smiling so it was kind of like a beauty shot. There is a contrast between the model's black tennis shoes and the rest of her outfit. This image is very light and was taken outdoors. There wasn't really an idea of what i was trying to say but i was trying to catch her at a happy moment. I like this image but it is a bit light. It could have been better so it was semi successful.

In this particular picture, what really stood out to me was the contrast of her dark hair with her bright white shirt. I also like the gate in the background and the big stock shelf behind the gate. I would consider this work figurative. I love the angle that this picture was shot at, it's really attractive and makes you look at the picture in a different way. The image is a little bit shady or blurry. I could have focused it more but i liked the way it looked. I positioned Chelsea against the gate to make her look a little run down or rugged so to speak. The picture was taken outdoors. In my opinion, this picture was very successful for my first image, i think it makes you think whats on her mind, i felt that i captured the image very well.
